My words.
They linger inside my head, trying to come together
in a certain way that can not only be
understood, but also communicated.
Not long ago the shadows consumed all the clean air
and only left its potent traces of pollution.
Those were not the best of times
but they were necessary.
I allowed myself to crawl out of that empty
comfortless pit.
I slowly raise myself from what I thought was a permanent dimness.
to surprisingly find the comforting reassurance the sunlight
kissed upon my cheek.
I lived and I learned.
Oh boy did I learn.
Peace of mind.
What a lovely companion to have on your side.
I'll make us a cup of tea
and you can stay awhile.
